Special Abilities
Fae Step – Three times per encounter the Apprentice can disappear completely and move to the maximum length of his movement range undected. At the beginning of his next turn he will reappear where he now stands. While under the magic of the fae step, the Apprentice can mage no other actions.
Background
The Apprentice is a fae of unknown age or rank. Long ago the Fae who would be the Apprentice sold himself to the Mapmaker in a bid to gain rank and prestige among the courts of the Au-Sidhe. In his bargain with the Mapmaker he gain the privilege of the Greater Fae, however, much of who or what he was vanished under the tutelage of the Mapmaker.
The Apprentice has long been locked away in the realms of his Master copying and transcribing maps and older works, such as the scrolls that predict where the waypoints between the Mortal, Fae and Outsider Realms will appear. Little is known about him and very few have seen him.
Ecology
There is only one Apprentice to the Mapmaker, although other Apprentices to other Fae may exist. The tradition of Apprentice and Master in the Eternal Lands of the Au-Sidhe are ever shifting and changing … but always dangerous.
